Made Possible by Our People Installation Coordination
Meet Troy McLamb, an Installation Coordination Representative based out of our Lillington, NC manufacturing facility. So, what is “installation coordination” all about? It is a crucial service that makes a huge difference. It’s all about identifying who the installation stakeholders are and ensuring they understand what’s in store. This department prepares and trains all stakeholders with an educational webinar.
Imagine several large crates arriving at the jobsite unexpectedly and no one is waiting to offload them to an ideal location for the install. Or the crates arrive too early while the building is still under construction...or they arrive too late! What if the electrical is dropped in the wrong location, or the flooring isn’t perfectly level for the installation. There are so many ways a project can be negatively impacted due to a lack of preparation.
Troy and others on the installation coordination team provide project oversight and web-based training to clients and installation partners alike to ensure every installation runs smoothly. They review everything from shipping and storage to floor excavation and electrical tie-ins. The goal? No surprises.
In this short video, Troy explains why his department is so essential to the overall Boon Edam Experience.
