Technical Competency Assessor.
WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?
In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping the future of technical competence at Boon Edam. You will develop and implement technical competency frameworks, carry out robust assessments, and work closely with teams to identify and address skills gaps, supporting compliance with industry standards and legislation, including the Building Safety Act.
As frameworks become fully embedded, you will also begin delivering targeted technical training to help our colleagues
achieve and maintain the standards required.
Competency Frameworks and Compliance
You will design, develop and maintain technical competency frameworks that support compliance with the Building Safety Act and evolving operational needs. These frameworks will ensure that colleagues, including technicians and non-technicians, have the knowledge and capability to work safely and consistently.
Assessment and Skills Gap Identification
You will assess technical competence across the workforce, using competency frameworks, and maintain accurate, audit ready records. Assessment outcomes will help identify skills gaps and appropriate development plans.
Future Training Delivery and Development
As competency frameworks are embedded, you will begin delivering focussed technical training to address identified
development needs. You will also support colleagues in achieving relevant accreditations and maintaining up to date product knowledge.
Collaboration
You will work closely with Technical, HR, Sales and Operational teams to ensure competency standards remain aligned with business priorities. Insights from assessments and training will help drive continuous improvement and raise technical
performance across the organisation.
