Automated Resistance Class 3 Shield Doors

Edam, the Netherlands, June 2019 – Today Royal Boon Edam International B.V announced the release of their update to the popular Tourniket revolving door. The update includes advanced and automated burglar resistance class 3 shield doors as part of an effective protection package option.

Welcome and Secure

The Tourniket revolving door is the most versatile entrance solution in our range, and this update positions it as a leader in the market when it comes to engineering quality, safety and security. The energy-saving features of the Tourniket work by maintaining comfort levels, in relation to the weather conditions, which can now be perfectly combined with the security and peace-of-mind of protecting the valuable assets inside the building itself and preventing intruders from gaining unwanted access.

Flexible Burglary Protection

We have developed a highly durable drive unit with an automated locking system to complement our RC3 burglar protection shield doors. The advanced shield doors do not need to be manually closed, but are now conveniently automated for time saving and instant switching between different operating modes, either day, night or secured. It even provides an automated winter position during off-peak times to save extra energy in the static position. The certified RC3 shield doors are available from today as part of our specialised protection package offering.

Key Features and Benefits Include:

  • Remote switching between operating modes (day / night and secured)
  • Instant lockdown in the event of protests, riots or terror threats
  • Automatic winter position during off-peak traffic times to enhance the interior comfort levels
  • Smooth and durable operation
  • Safe low energy operation for supervised and autonomous operation

Compliance Secured

We are proud to report that our manual attack protection packages have been certified to comply with applicable international standards EN1627 and EN356. The standards specify the requirements and testing methods of manual attack resistance construction for pedestrian doors, windows, facades, grilles and shutters. The results of the tests are evidenced by official certificates.
