As the first phase of Tribeca, London's largest purpose-built life sciences campus, Apex represents a landmark investment in the future of scientific innovation, providing flexible laboratory and office environments designed to foster collaboration, research, and growth. 

Developed by Reef Group and constructed by VolkerFitzpatrick, the seven-storey building provides over 112,000 sq. ft. of state-of-the-art laboratory, office, and amenity space within London's thriving bioscience cluster adjacent to Regent's Canal. Designed with sustainability and adaptability at its core, Apex achieved BREEAM Outstanding certification and incorporates numerous low-carbon construction techniques and future-ready infrastructure to support the next generation of life sciences organisations.

The scope of Boon Edam UK's involvement was to provide entrance solutions that supported Apex's operational requirements while complementing its contemporary architecture and sustainability ambitions.

Boon Edam supplied Crystal Tourniket Automatic revolving doors at the main entrance to help maintain internal environmental conditions and reduce energy loss. Within reception, Lifeline Speedlane Swing lanes were installed to deliver secure and efficient access control while maintaining an open and welcoming arrival experience for occupants and visitors. 

Beyond supplying the entrance solutions, Boon Edam worked closely with the wider project team to ensure seamless integration within the building design. Careful consideration was given to both the architectural appearance and operational requirements of the facility, ensuring the entrance systems complemented the premium environment expected within a leading life sciences development.

To create an impressive and efficient main entrance, Boon Edam UK installed Crystal Tourniket automatic revolving doors. Renowned for their transparency and elegant all-glass design, the doors complement Apex's contemporary architecture while helping to reduce heating and cooling losses through improved climate control.

Inside the reception area, Boon Edam installed Lifeline Speedlane Swing security lanes to provide secure, efficient access control. Featuring sleek glass barriers and advanced detection technology, the lanes enable fast, intuitive passage for authorised users while helping to prevent unauthorised entry. 

Wider accessible lanes were incorporated to accommodate wheelchair users, visitors, and the movement of laboratory equipment, ensuring an inclusive and compliant entrance solution. 

Together, the Crystal Tourniket and Lifeline Speedlane Swing provide a balanced approach to entrance management. The revolving doors were selected for their ability to support the building's sustainability objectives by helping to reduce energy loss, while also creating a welcoming arrival experience.
